Haiterbach is a special place filled with many many wonderful people and we got to stay with the best of them, and their big pooch Balu! (beware many pictures of this dog to come...)

There was no way we were going be 20 minutes from the border of Austria – even better, the city of Salzburg – and not cross over into it. This colorful city was so much fun to walk through. It was just a short trip, but it was the perfect amount of time because weaving through tourists gets old pretty fast (for me at least). Get ready for way to many pictures of a far too beautiful place. The mountain towns of Switzerland were magnificent. We road a tram part way up and climbed a bit to get a better look. I was fascinated by the impeccable abilities of the residents to stack wood, small ones, big ones, round ones, square ones. Each home had it's own special garden, adding bright color, to the soft tones of the mountains and hills. But, most of all, the Alps, THE ALPS, were what I loved the most...
