Just a 3 hour train ride south to Traunstein and a 20 minute drive to the small village of Petting and he was reunited with them again! I was very happy to meet them as well; I had heard a lot about them, especially Robert who accompanied David and a couple more of our friends on a boys trip to Ireland – hilarious stories from that trip involving sandwiches on the run and stinky socks! We were also pretty happy to be in Bavaria where they roll their R's in the front of their mouth instead of the back; which made understanding and speaking Deutsch much easier for us Americans...

Get ready for way to many pictures of a far too beautiful place. The mountain towns of Switzerland were magnificent. We road a tram part way up and climbed a bit to get a better look. I was fascinated by the impeccable abilities of the residents to stack wood, small ones, big ones, round ones, square ones. Each home had it's own special garden, adding bright color, to the soft tones of the mountains and hills. But, most of all, the Alps, THE ALPS, were what I loved the most...
