Long before we got engaged, (well, I guess not too long, considering that was only 4 months ago, and we had only been together 4 months before that…) David and I decided that we both wanted to have a not-so-traditional honeymoon. Instead of venturing off to a tropical paradise or exploring European history, we agreed on finding a cozy cabin on a lake in Alaska. Somewhere quiet and undisturbed, where we could spend the day in our lounge pants reading Lord of the Rings or wandering through nature in peaceful silence. Alaska was the plan but, apparently, God had something better in store for us...
