Room #06

May 6, 2016

I had mixed feelings about choosing Ojai Rancho Inn as our anniversary destination. We had spent last year at the Ojai Retreat, where we spent our first night as husband and wife, and I genuinely thought we would spend every year, for the rest of our lives, recreating April 26th of 2014. (Yes, I'm one of those cheesy romantics.)

But this year, just barely at the start of this lovely tradition, our plans were foiled. We waited just a little too long to book our special room and sadly it was not available on the night of our anniversary. I had to make a choice. Do we celebrate early? Later? Or do we just go somewhere new?

Luckily, The Ojai Rancho Inn came into the mix of reasoning and quickly got my attention. I had heard good things – great things – and figured it was worth a try, and booked a room. I quickly got excited as I browsed their website full of gorgeous photos and stalked them on Instagram, finding hundreds of stellar reviews.

And the pictures did not lie. Their vibe is cohesive throughout the whole experience, from the lobby to the poolside to the inside of your room. The atmosphere is fun and bright and stylish to boot.

From the minute we pulled in, we had a grand time. We didn't have to use our car once, since they are located right downtown and are a short walk away from all the best restaurants. It is also conveniently placed right along the renowned Ojai Valley trail, where we had a blast exploring the surrounding area on bikes provided by the inn.

Let me tell you, we did not make the wrong decision.

Thank you Ojai Rancho Inn for making our anniversary one for the books!

Happy Staying!
