Happy Happy FIRST birthday to my first child and first son. This day came so fast and yet at the same time, the last 365 days were full and I felt like I was able to cherish each and every new moment in your development and growth.
Gideon Geoffrey Rans, you have been consistent from the start. Theatrical, aware, determined and with a great humor about yourself. It has been so much fun getting to know you and I’m so gad our family started with you. It always suits you best to be surrounded by people. Whether you’re just quietly watching from afar or running around doing something quirky and making everyone laugh, it is where you are most comfortable. But, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I cherish the fact that I am where you feel the most safe.
After spending every day, every night, almost every moment with you for a whole year, it is a prized reward to be the one you run to. I love you more than you know – more than I know.
It is joy to celebrate your life and I am so thankful for the family and friends God has surrounded you with.
