My lack of writing these past few weeks has made me realize how much I absolutely love it.
My days have become regimented (which I vowed not to let happen).
Yes, work takes clocking in, clocking in takes leaving on time, and leaving on time takes having a daily routine that allows for productivity and punctuality. These things I know very well. Still, I am left to my dreams.
My dreams of feeling free of the blur of “weekly living”. I want to live for today.
Here’s the thing,
In some strange, completely unexpected way, writing allows me to take hold of my moments and my days. It’s a place I retreat to, where my memories, thoughts, and ideas are outside of all my planning and scheduling. I am free to go, go, go, without end.
Anyways, at this late hour of the night I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s absolutely imperative that I write, every single day.
Here’s what I’m going to do: Tomorrow…
I will wake up extra early, most likely with an “on the wrong side of the bed” attitude (as some people like to call it)
I will wipe that grouchy grimace off my face with a pipin’ hot cup of home-brewed coffee.
I will write.
I will dream.
I will be inspired.
I will be free.
Till Morning,
Natalie Rans
Happy Dreaming!
