And Then There Were 3

We bought a big gold balloon to announce our news. Three months ago we became THREE!

This ultra-ordinary event is something that never loses its charm. And in this case it's an even bigger deal because we are bringing the first grandchild into both of our families. I feel so honored to have this role. Oooo this baby is gonna be a spoiled little thang. 

In the past two weeks we have heard baby's heartbeat, seen baby on the ultrasound, and took a blood test to find out baby's gender. I think it's all starting to become a little more real. And I'm so happy to begin the journey of documenting and journaling all the wonderful times that are coming our way.

Festivities in the Pearl

Some bits to remember winter of 2016. Our last Christmas before we are three. And my first real winter season (ever). It was absolutely lovely watching the leaves around us change and fall, the branches become bear, and then covered in ice. We enjoyed some snow outside our big city apartment window before we packed up and moved to the country. It was a holiday season to cherish.

Wayyyy overdue in posting this, but it was a monumental day cutting down a Christmas tree for us Californians, so it must be published! Thanks Kasey for always providing transportation and your awesome photography skills. And introducing us to real Christmas trees!

Home for the FallyDays

A few glimpses of fall in our home.

The light has been sharp this season, as it cuts through the thick cloud cover. Sweaters are worn. Socks are a must. The candles are lit. And we can't keep our paws off the heater. 

The tree across the way has quickly turned from green to red and just like that it's gone.
